I had a similar experience in Italy in 2007. I was pickpocketed on the subway in Rome. I went to the Italian police who were very helpful. I followed up by going to the American Embassy and then the consulate. They wouldn't even let me in even though I had my passport. …

The commercials stunk to high heaven. The only one that had any class was the Chrysler/Detroit commerical and I wasn't sure which was being emphasized.

Absolutely Commonsense. I agree with what you say. Vote people out until you get enough to go along with a term limit amendment. You can do the same at the State level, as 2/3 of the states may call a constitutional convention to make the necessary changes.

Agreed on term limits. If we have to have an amendment to get it done, let's go for it. Two 6 year terms for senators; 5 two year terms for representatives and no change for president.

So long as people kill other people in a civilized society, the state needs to keep the death penalty active. It also needs to set swift but reasonable timelines for its enactment - say 5 years maximum - not 25 years.

Sure is a lot of hyperbole being spewed out in Mass Media Land. Yes, the oil spill is tragic, but nature is very resiliant, particularly in light of disasters that have occurred over millennia.
